I was born with the ability of making people laugh, in that I found my gift in life is communicating. I was raised in an environment that was all about supporting each other regardless of race, religion, social class. WHATEVER..
I was born and raised in Los Angeles California. Was never the most popular kid but everybody knew me as the fat kid. Being a fat kid I would have to be prepared to take on criticism and get talked about and made fun of. I got some alligator skin though!! Somebody would say “ look he got boobs”
And I’d hit ‘em with “ that’s cause ya mama feeds me good”
The name Hollywood comes from my childhood. The apartment I grew up in if you went to the second floor you could see the Hollywood sign clear as day. Hollywood is known for the glitz and glamour but it’s also known for the taboo. For me when I hit the stage I’ve become that Hollywood cliché. From the clothes that I’m wearing to the attitude and confidence that I carry.
Fashion is a huge inspiration in my everyday life.
I can definitely say I spend a good amount of money in the Adidas store. Growing up watching artists like Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, and Busta Rhymes. I would see the things that they would wear in the things that they would do in their videos and I wanted to be eccentric like them. Big coats, flashy shoes and a fly hat to go on top! Look on like an Ice Cream Sundae on a Friday day after school.
I don’t wear gold or platinum or silver really. Kind of like more of the rubber in the word trinkets and wrist wear. You’ll never catch me in Gucci Fendi Prada high end brands like that. Normally I’m in some Adidas and I’m still a 10. Beyoncé even joined the team. BEYONCÉ!
Growing up black and gay, your entire family already assumes that you are in the closet and they just waiting for you to come out.
When you do they say something like “ I knew by the way he ran when he was six”. HOW COULD SHE EVEN KNOW IT WAS 50\50!
I didn’t really have to come out and explain to my family they already knew by the company I cat I had dudes taking care of me. When I was 18 my boyfriend at the time had a car and my mom didn’t and he let her drive it to work. He got me my first iPhone. I will as well taken care of hahah.
Relationships and dating for me have been pretty difficult. I’m definitely not the average dude. I’m a little different. I’m nerdy but I have some.. ratchet.
I deafly been around the block a bunch of times. I’m breaking a sweat. I’ll be completely honest my body count is fairly high I don’t know the number because I’ve stopped counting after a while but
I’ve never had an STD and I get tested pretty frequently and of course I’m practicing sex. My type is someone who is ambitious, motivated, confident in themselves. You can be ugly as sin but if you hard-working I am head over heels. You can be a 10 out of 10 but if you’re on the bus you will not be getting my attention. A lot of people are not confident, which is why they have a hard time keeping trust within a relationship. It’s toxic and it’s torture to always making up scenarios because you’re not trusting your partner. People have to be open with their relationships in order to communicate with one another in detail about what they want and what their commitment is.
Personally, I don’t think you should have expectations for a person to conform their lifestyle with yours within six months to a year. Give it time to really know someone.
A job makes you commit for 90 days before they give you any kind of benefits.
As a standup comedian my comedy comes from real life situations and incidents that just happened to me. I literally have office type moments where I stare off and I’m like it’s no one else seeing what is going on. I’m an observer, I observe some of the little details of the strangest things.
For example, I went on a date to the zoo and the first thing I noticed was that everybody had kids.
We were the only people without kids!
When I go on stage I definitely change my mentality at the moment. I gain confidence and I go on stage and I just do my thing. I used to be really scared but it wasn’t scary. It was more nervous and it was because I was excited. I was excited about going on stage telling jokes, making people laugh just running the room. I now use that energy on stage and I’ve brought it to life. Also being tall I use my body to make jokes and faces and sounds. All that I bring to the stage and you can see the genuine kindness aura that I have. When you come to my shows you laugh because it’s funny and it’s truth that I’m up there speaking!
With all the obstacles in life do you have to follow your dream no matter what.
Even if you wanna be the hopscotch champion you can be out there at 4 AM. Practice in your life away.
Most people get caught up in the idea that you have to be like somebody else, you have to gain the same success as somebody else. But it’s definitely the opposite you get to create your own success you get to create your own door and opportunity for you to walk in. You don’t have to be the next Michael Jordan, you can be the 1st you!
Currently I’m a CPR instructor and I get to travel state to state teaching CPR and doing stand-up comedy. It’s one hell of a combo both including public speaking and me using my gift and communicating with people and adding that with my ability to make people laugh.
Ever since I was young, I wanted to be an actor. I don’t believe there was...
